Financial Planning Coordinator - HigherEdJobs

Radford University is currently seeking a Financial Planning Coordinator. The position will provide primary oversight for financial planning
models and external budget operations; prepare and interpret complex financial analysis; exercise judgment in preparing executive summaries;
serve as a resource in resolving complex problems; and ensure consistent application of financial policies and procedures.

Qualified applicants must be able to demonstrate proficient knowledge of budget, planning, and forecasting methodologies; conduct complex financial analyses and prepare detailed reports; plan, direct, and coordinate budget management and oversight; coordinate budget formation with agency objectives and negotiate problem areas; demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills; respond accurately and quickly to requests for information or financial analyses under strict deadlines; prioritize and work on multiple projects. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge of Virginia's higher education budget and finance policies, procedures and systems; an understanding of Virginia's legislative process; an understanding of fund accounting; and knowledge of or capacity to learn the Commonwealth's Performance Budgeting System, Cognos Query Studio, and Internet Native Banner. This position requires proficiency with MS Excel, Access and Word; and the ability to work independently and as part of the team.
